The future is green - The new MAN Lion's City Hybrid

The new Lion's City Hybrid is an innovative concept from MAN bringing improved eco-friendliness and economic efficiency to urban traffic. The result is convincing: MAN's hybrid bus consumes up to 30% less fuel and saves up to 10,000 litres of diesel per year. CO2 emissions are reduced by up to 26 tons per year. Thus, the innovative hybrid drive concept combines minimal emissions with maximum cost effectiveness and contributes to greater transport efficiency in urban traffic zones.

International Design Award for the MAN Lion´s City Hybrid

The MAN Lion’s City Hybrid has been honoured at the Challenge Bibendum 2011 in Berlin. Primarily, it was the "aesthetically sophisticated" design of the city bus which inspired the illustrious panel including designers, technical experts and journalists.

Munich became the first European city to commission the Lion's City Hybrid bus from MAN. From midyear on, further buses of this type will be introduced in Hagen (D), Paris (F), Barcelona (E), Milan (I), Vienna (A) and several cities in the Netherlands. The Lion's City Hybrid bus from MAN will be ready to order for customers in Europe after the IAA Commercial Vehicles 2010 exhibition.
