MAN CLA - robust and reliable

Vehicles in the Cargo Line A (CLA) series are designed for the tough, challenging operating conditions of the African and Asian markets. The proven vehicle concept based on MAN M 2000 and F 2000 comprises long-distance trucks, semitrailer tractors, tippers and mobile mixers with two and three axles.

• High-performance engines based on tried-and-tested MAN technology
  MAN also produces the tried-and-tested D08 six-cylinder in-line engine with power outputs of 220 and 280 hp. The 220 hp engine has a 6-speed overdrive gearbox, while the 280 hp engine has a 9-speed overdrive gearbox. In order to meet the specific demands of the different target markets, the engines are configured with simple technology to satisfy the EURO2 and EURO3 standards which are still valid there. High-performance vehicles with a technically permissible gross weight of 15 to 26 tons can be achieved with these well matched components.
  
  
• Robust chassis for driving comfort and safety
  The CLA series vehicles all feature a highly robust, load-carrying chassis with 20" or 22.5" tyres. A leaf-spring front axle with a country-specific load capacity of 6 to 7.5 tons is installed. Even the rear axles - either planetary or hypoid axles - have leaf springs and, depending on the model, demonstrate a load capacity of up to 11.5 tons.
  
  
• Customised cabs for individual vehicle applications
  Different cabs are available for the MAN CLA to suit the individual use: the spacious Sleeper Cab - fitted with a bunk - or the short and functional Day Cab.
