Within the MAN Truck & Bus Group, the MAN Starachowice plant is a competence centre for bus production in which MAN city buses are built. People from throughout the world travel in our buses. Munich Airport relies on MAN buses from the Starachowice production for passenger transfers.
MAN counts on very well trained specialists in Starachowice to secure the appropriate product quality and to satisfy customer demands. We have our own training centre as well as modern, well equipped measurement and chemical laboratories. MAN is the only bus producer in Poland to possess a CDP unit (cathodic dip painting) that satisfies the highest demands placed on corrosion resistance and paint adherence. All buses built in Starachowice leave the factory with a CDP coating given them optimum protection against corrosion.
The MAN plant in Starachowice is continuously seeking new, environmentally friendly solutions. The water chillers installed in the painting booths allow control of the required temperature and humidity, and therefore the use of environmentally friendly technologies. In 2012 the factory started operation of a thermal exhaust air cleaning unit. Use of the TNV thermal afterburning system reduces emission of volatile organic compounds.
