As an internationally leading manufacturer of commercial vehicles, MAN Truck & Bus assumes a particularly great responsibility for its own customers as well as society and the environment. In order to be able to meet the resulting demands, the largest division of the MAN Group follows a multitude of self-defined standards and guidelines for corporate behaviour.

This year’s CR Report under the headline “What drives us” is split into three formats according to target groups. Apart from implementing its CR Strategy 2020+, the CR Report 2015 focuses on digitization and MAN’s refugee initiative.
Corporate Responsibility at MAN - we are responsible
For MAN, future sustainability means understanding global challenges and recognising the risks and opportunities for sustainable development as well as our business success. It was these factors that we used as a guideline for the realignment of our Corporate Responsibility strategy. The result is the CR strategy 2020+. With this, we live our responsibility- along our whole value chain. During its implementation, MAN Truck & Bus plays a key role as the largest division in the group.
Compliance at MAN
As a global enterprise that operates in many areas of business, MAN has a corporate respon¬sibility to its customers, its employees, its investors, and the public. This corporate responsibility includes compliance with laws everywhere and at all times as well as respecting ethical values and acting sustainably. As a result, compliance is a fundamental part of the MAN strategy and must be practiced at all levels of the Group and by all staff alike. MAN’s Governance, Risk & Compliance Organization has developed a Group-wide Integrity and Compliance Program and introduced a wide range of measures to ensure that compli¬ance at MAN is implemented and practiced throughout the Group.
Public Affairs at MAN
As a business acting at national as well as international level, the business activities of the MAN Group are continuously influenced by political and legislative processes. In order to be able to face the complexity and variety of political framework conditions more successfully, a clear strategic positioning is therefore required. This task is performed by the Public Affairs division. Amongst the most important goals are mediation between individual interests, early identification of political decisions as well as their use for a sustainable business success in the international competitive environment. In this context, especially lobbying activities are understood as transparent, open and professional political advisory activities.
