MAN Truck & Bus
Record champion FC Bayern Munich has been sponsored by MAN since 2008. Germany's most successful soccer team has received a team bus and mobile fan store from MAN. Since the 2018/2019 season, the team has been driving home its victories in a new MAN Lion's Coach equipped with plenty of highlights
Michael Lauerbach drives the Bayern stars efficiently, safely and comfortably to their home and away games in the MAN Lion's Coach. The extensive comfort and multimedia equipment make the team bus a feel-good place and important retreat for the players.
In addition to the countless trips in the MAN Lion's Coach, the Bayern pros have also been on the road in the MAN Lion's City E, the freshly named Bus of the Year 2023. For example, they drove from the training grounds to Munich Airport. And were thrilled by the whisper-quiet, emission-free ride.
MAN has been a partner of RB Leipzig since the 2020/21 season. Of course, like the other partner clubs, the red bulls travel to the games with a specially designed Lion's Coach. Oliver Mintzlaff accepted the bus.
MAN has been committed to supporting young talent at Borussia Mönchengladbach since 2012. To this end, MAN provides the official team bus for the Fohlen eleven.
The German national soccer team is on the road with an exclusively equipped MAN Lion's Coach. The women's national team and the U21 national team also drive a customized team bus from MAN Truck & Bus.
MAN has been a partner of ABT for 29 years now. In 1993, the first vehicles were handed over as part of this partnership. ABT will also be supported by MAN in 2022 - the ABT DTM team received two MAN trucks of the type MAN-TGX with 510 hp and 2,600 Newton meters of maximum torque, with which equipment can be transported to the races. MAN is thus a partner of a very well-known and successful brand that was an Audi factory team for many years.
In addition to a high-profile positioning of the MAN vehicles in the DTM paddock, the partnership will also be communicated by the MAN logo on the pit walls. MAN is the "Official Supplier of the ABT Sportsline Team". The two trucks are present at all races - including tests and races, the trucks each cover about 25,000 kilometers a year. Depending on the track, the two TGXs are already on the road up to five days before the start of set-up before the race weekend in order to deliver the approx. 20 tons of equipment - including DTM bolides - on time.
Setting up the pit on site takes about three to four hours - it always takes place on Thursday morning during the race weekend. Each employee has a fixed area for which he is responsible. Dismantling is also completed in the same time. The complete equipment including the vehicles is completely checked after each race and made fit for the coming race!
At Formula Student Germany 2022, more than 90 student teams competed against each other in racing cars they had built themselves at the Hockenheimring. MAN supports the racing teams from Munich Technical University, Munich University of Applied Sciences, RWTH Aachen University, and KIT from Karlsruhe. They receive trucks and vans to transport their vehicles from race to race.
Anyone who participates here is considered a top young talent in the industry. The teams, which have 60 to 80 members, include engineers, project managers, development groups, buyers, controllers and communications staff. There are also many women among them.
Formula Student, which MAN has been sponsoring since 2011, is an ideal opportunity to talk to top engineering and IT talent - and thus attract the best minds to MAN.
The National Football League (NFL) and MAN are making history together. For the first NFL game in Germany, at the Allianz Arena in Munich, the American football stars are travelling in MAN Lion's Coaches. There are 14 of them in total - seven for the Seahawks and seven for the Buccs. In addition, there is a very special bus: the branded highlight bus.
Ex-football star Sebastian Vollmer is an ambassador for MAN. For him, the fact that the game in the Allianz Arena is attracting such enormous interest is a sign that football is also growing steadily in Germany.
