Over 70 MAN vans for Energy Assets Utilities in Britain

Energy Assets Utilities (EAU), one of Britain’s leading multi-utility network construction companies, has ordered 73 MAN TGE to modernize their fleet.

The handover of the first MAN TGEs to Energy Assets Utilities took place in June. 33 new vans will be based at EAU’s Alva base in Scotland. They will be followed by a further 40 vehicles destined for operations in England and Wales. All in all the company’s commercial fleet embrace over 200 vehicles. The investment will support utility network construction at residential and commercial developments across Britain and reflects a customer commitment to invest in technology that drives reliability and quality. The key competence of Energy Assets Utilities is to take care of the gas, electricity, and water infrastructure of their customers.

The new MAN 3.5 tonne TGE diesel vehicles are energy efficient and equipped among others with incorporate navigation, along with reversing cameras, parking sensors and speed limiters. Energy Assets Utilities (EAU) new MAN fleet additions are all TGE 3.140 with standard wheelbase, high roof model and 6-speed manual transmission. The first vehicles to enter service are Rear Wheel Drive models, however some Front Wheel Drive versions are currently in build.
