The Way People Travel – MAN Truck & Bus full of the excitement of the Busworld fair

  • MAN and NEOPLAN are presenting their product highlights at the Busworld in Kortrijk
  • New online stage for the NEOPLAN Skyliner

Under the motto "The Way People Travel", MAN Truck & Bus is presenting innovations from its two bus brands, MAN and NEOPLAN, at the Busworld exhibition in Kortrijk, Belgium (October 21 through 26). The 1,600 square metre stand invites interested visitors to experience the highlights of the fair and consult with experts on everything in connection with products and services.

The Busworld highlights

Simultaneous world premiere and sales launch: the premium double-decker NEOPLAN Skyliner has a lot to celebrate at the Busworld. MAN is presenting the Lion's City M as a manoeuvrable 10.50-metre bus for inner cities. A long way ahead of the date on which the future exhaust-gas standard Euro 6 comes into effect, MAN will be showing the MAN Lion's City with Euro 6 diesel engine at Kortrijk. The D08 and D20 engines that will be on display also comply with the Euro 6 standard. As a partner for body manufacturers, MAN Truck & Bus is exhibiting its range of diesel and CNG engines for buses as well as components such as axles. Experts will be at the stand to provide information on new mobility concepts, for example Bus Rapid Transit for local public transport. In the outdoor area, an MAN Lion's City Hybrid will be available for test drives.

This year for the first time, the MAN Truck & Bus press conference takes place one day before the exhibition. The conference will be held on October 20 at 11:00 at the MAN Stand (Stand no. 2-2 in Hall 2).

New stage for the Skyliner on the NEOPLAN brand website

Giving a foretaste of the Skyliner sales launch, with effect from September 1 the brand website www.NEOPLAN-BUS.com has a completely reworked product information area. The Skyliner product experience is the eye catcher here with its virtual 3-D panoramic tour. In a "Learn the details" section the website explains all the Skyliner's technical features: design, air-conditioning, interior, safety equipment, drive technology and aerodynamics. The "Facts & downloads" section offers downloads of the new product brochure, product videos and an image database with lots of impressions of the premium double-decker, inside and out. Starting with Busworld, the entire NEOPLAN website will also be going online in French and Turkish.

Experience the Skyliner in three dimensions: visitors to the website can already get an idea of how special it feels to sit in the new Skyliner. Both decks of the new premium double-decker can be explored virtually and in three dimensions. The 3-D panoramas are visually fascinating works - each one is over 40 megapixels in size, having been put together from 24 separate images. The experience of spaciousness is especially vivid on an upper deck that is flooded with light: the huge expanses of glass open up a breathtaking field of vision. Equipment highlights are explained by opening screens with additional information. The Skyliner's SkyLights concept consists of three elements: side windows angled upwards into the roof and glazed roof segments combine to form an almost unbroken stretch of glass. The big panorama window together with the half square metre of glass in the dome above the front row make these seats the most sought-after on the coach market.

The NEOPLAN Skyliner has a completely new information platform within the NEOPLAN brand website www.NEOPLAN-BUS.com

On the NEOPLAN website, visitors can take a virtual 3D tour inside the new NEOPLAN Skyliner.
