MAN Truck & Bus
Since its market launch in 2020, the MAN Lion's City E has been delighting customers, bus drivers and passengers. And of course the developers at MAN itself, who are continuously working on improving the all-electric city bus. Over 1,000 orders for the Lion's City E have been received by autumn 2022. "In the last fiscal year, just under six percent of our new city buses were electrically powered. By 2025 this will be half, and by 2030 we want to deliver around 90 percent of our city buses with battery drive," explains Rudi Kuchta, Head of the Bus Business Unit at MAN Truck & Bus.
The bus more than proved its perfect suitability for everyday use in May 2022 at the latest: On a road trip of around 2,500 kilometres, it drove from Munich to the Bus Euro Test in Limerick - over Alpine passes, motorways and country lanes. And with a remarkable recuperation rate of 20.8 percent.
